Copeland attended and graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 2013. She then attained her Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology in 2019 at Mississippi State University. While in college she interned at EUE and Screen Gems Studios in Greater Atlanta Area.
Copeland also interned and worked at CNN as a Media Coordinator, News Assistant, and Domestic Newsource and International Newsource Freelancer for 3 years and 5 months. At CNN she started as a Special Projects Intern and was a Media Coordinator by the time she was leaving the station in February 2016.
She currently serves as a Morning Meteorologist at WTXL ABC 27 in Tallahassee, Florida. She joined ABC 27 in August 2022 after working as a Chief Meteorologist at KPAX in Missoula, Montana. Copeland joined KPAX in July 2019 and after 3 years and 2 years of service, she left the station in August 2022.
At KPAX, she covered floods, blizzards, hailstorms, and wildfires across the Rocky Mountains and the Rocky Mountain Front. Copeland is looking forward to learning more about the community while forecasting tropical weather. When off her duties, a few of her favorite activities are playing tennis, fishing, paddleboarding, surfing, snowboarding, camping, and anything outside.
