Charlie Clifford Biography
Charlie Clifford is an American Anchor and Reporter working as a Sports Anchor at WLWT in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been part of the station since April 2023. Before joining his current station he worked for six years as a Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter at WISH-TV in Indianapolis. During his tenure there he won a regional Emmy Award for Sportcast eight regional nominations and the honor of top Sports Reporter by the Indiana Associated Press Broadcasters Association.

Clifford attended and graduated from Prospect High School in 2010 with a High School Diploma. He then joined Miami University where he graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. While in college he had the opportunity to intern and work at different stations. He interned at The Curran Group in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Further, he interned as a eCommerce Intern at Grainger in the Great Chicago Area.
He currently serves as a Sports Anchor at WLWT in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been part of the station since April 2023 and is honored to be part of the WLWT sports team. Before joining his current station he worked as a Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter at WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In addition to his TV duties, he was a regular guest radio host for 107.5 FM The Fan and a fill-in play-by-play broadcaster for the Indianapolis Indians, Ball State University, Xavier University, and the IHSAA. During his tenure in WISH-TV, he won a regional Emmy Award for Sportscast, eight regional Emmy nominations, and the honor for top Sports Report by the Indiana Associated Press Broadcasters Association.
Clifford was born and raised in Mt. Prospect, IL, and his broadcast career started with positions at WGN Radio in Chicago and WKBT-TV in La Crosse, Wis. Charlie is honored to continue WLWT’s legacy of impactful, local storytelling in one of America’s most passionate sports towns.
