Alberto Camargo attended and graduated from Polk State College in 2020 with an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences and Liberal Studies. He then joined the University of South Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2022.
Camargo currently works as a Multimedia Journalist at WTXL ABC 27 in Tallahassee, Florida. He joined the station in August 2023 and has been working here ever since. Before joining his current station he worked as a Postgraduate Intern at Turner Sports.
While in college he served and interned at different stations across the state. He worked as a Customer Service Supervisor at Burlington Stores Inc. in Lakeland, Florida Area. He then joined Orlando City SC as a Communication Intern. During his tenure there he organized media credentialing and managed press box for 15 Orlando City and Orlando Pride home matches.
In September 2019 he joined Visit Central Florida as a Sports Assistant and after 7 months he left the station in March 2020. While there he coordinated operations of 12 sporting events around Polk County. Alberto also interned at 6 AM City as a Digital Media Intern. He was part of the station from January 2021 to May 2021.
