After earning her high school diploma, Stevenson enrolled at Tarkio College to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She later pursued further education in meteorology, completing a three-year certification program at Mississippi State University. Additionally, she continued her studies at Mississippi State University, working towards a second Bachelor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences and Geosciences.
