Pastorek John is an American journalist serving at WBRZ-TV as a co-anchor for the popular morning show, 2une In, he joined the Station in July 1977 after graduating from the Missouri School of Journalism.

Following his graduation from Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge, John attained his journalism degree from the prestigious Missouri School of Journalism. After graduating, he joined WRAL-TV as a co-anchor for the popular morning show, 2une In. He has played this role to date. Garnering over 100 accolades in local, state, and national journalism, John’s achievements include an Emmy for his documentary on hot air balloons.

Moreover, his journalistic endeavors have taken him on specialized assignments to Africa, Medjugorje, Yugoslavia, and Central America.
John’s commitment to community service has also been celebrated, earning him the title of one of Baton Rouge’s distinguished “Volunteer Activists” for 2004. Pastorek has been honored with numerous Associated Press awards for his contributions to features, documentaries, and specialized medical reporting, alongside recognition from esteemed bodies such as the Louisiana State Medical Society and the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society. Notably, the Louisiana State Medical Society awarded John the 2010 Excellence in Medical Journalism accolade in the Television Media category for his compelling medical series, “Reduce Your Risk.”
