Jennifer Correa is an American Meteorologist serving at WPTV as a Morning Meteorologist. She joined the Station in 2022 after working as a Weekend Meteorologist for WFOR.
Jennifer Correa’s Career | Education
Correa attended Florida State University in 2006 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in meteorology in 2009. She continued her education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2021 and holds a Master of Science – MS, Aviation and Aerospace Sustainability.
She began her career working in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area as an Apple specialist from March 2010 to February 2011. Here, he Engaged with customers and provided them with excellent customer service He launched the first iPad at the Florida Mall and the iPhone 4, both products that brought thousands of people to the Apple Store on Launch day.
Correa then left and joined MetLife in 2011 and worked as a Financial Service Representative until September 2011. Here, she Serviced clients’ financial needs and helped them reach their financial goals through life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
After working for MetLife, she joined ABB Miami in Miami, Florida, and worked as an Engineering Sales Assistant from October 2011 to August 2012. Here, she Focused on maintaining communication and good relationships with the customer and between the factory on quotes, order statuses, and other technical inquiries.
In September 2012, she worked as a Broadcast Meteorologist at AccuWeather. She Analyzed, forecasted, and briefed the weather to inform and keep the public aware, prepared, and out of harm’s way when bad weather strikes and recorded national broadcasts for high and low temperatures, travel, and tropical outlook during hurricane season.
In August 2014, she joined WPLG in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area as a Weekend Morning TV Meteorologist. After working at WPLG, she joined WSVN-TV 7News in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area as a Weather Producer here she worked for four months. In the same area, she worked for WFOR | CBS Miami as a full-time Weekend Meteorologist from September 2018 to December 2022. Now, Correa works for WPTV as a fulltime Morning Meteorologist.
