Steve Stewart Biography
Steve Stewart is an American Award-winning Weatherman working at ABC 11 News serving as a Weekend Meteorologist and Weather Graphics Designer since he became part of the network in June 2006. Formerly, Stewart worked at WNCN as a weekend Meteorologist.
Steve Stewart Career/Education
Stewart studied at the Metropolitan State University of Denver from the year 1991 to 1994 where he received his Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Meteorology. He is currently performing his duties as Weekend Meteorologist and Weather Graphics Designer, for the ABC 11 Eyewitness News since he joined in June 2006.
At the age of 19, Stewart began working for KREX-TV in Grand Junction, Colorado. In August of 1995, he joined KEYT-TV (ABC) in Santa Barbara, California, as the Chief Meteorologist, following stops in Sioux Falls, Denver, and Colorado Springs. Steve received four Golden Globes, three AP awards, and two RTNDA awards for best forecaster while he was living in Santa Barbara.
Stewart is regarded as the greatest weather graphic specialist in the country by TV meteorologists and has received the AMS Seal of Approval. While completing his studies in meteorology, he worked as a professional comedian in Denver.
