Michael Perchick Biography
Michael Perchick is an American News Personality working at ABC 11 News serving as a Reporter since he joined the station in March 2018. Formerly, Perchich worked at KVUE, the ABC affiliate in Austin, Texas, as a reporter.
Michael Perchick Career/Education
Michael finished his studies at the University of Miami. He studied Broadcast Journalism and Political Science as his main subjects and Sports Administration as a minor. He is currently playing his role as a reporter for the ABC 11 Eyewitness team since he secured a position at the network in March 2018.
Michael worked for KVUE, the ABC station in Austin, Texas, for more than two years before relocating to North Carolina. He covered a broad range of topics there, from South by Southwest to the state legislature. Additionally, he covered a number of significant events from a distance, including Super Bowl LI, severe weather across central Texas, and fatal bus crashes in Mississippi and Uvalde County. The Texas Association of School Boards acknowledged his contributions to the field of education.
Perchick worked for two years as a news producer and sports reporter at WAPT station which is an affiliate of ABC based in Jackson, Mississippi, prior to obtaining employment at KVUE. In addition to reporting from SEC Media Days and the Senior Bowl, Michael’s split position included substantial coverage of the hotly contested U.S. Senate election between state Sen. Chris McDaniel, and incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran. Furthermore, he participated in “Blitz 16,” which won an Associated Press Award and was recognized as Mississippi’s Best Sportscast.
