Kate Rogerson is an American News Personality working at ABC 11 News serving as a Sports anchor and reporter since she joined the station in October 2022. Formerly, Rogerson worked at KEZI 9 News as a full-time Sports Reporter.
Kate Rogerson Career/Education
Rogerson studied at the University of Rhode Island from the year 2016 to 2020 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in Sports media and communication. She finished her internships at WFXT in Boston and WLNE in Providence. Kate had the opportunity to cover the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the 2018 World Series at Fenway Park, and New England Patriots practices and games on a daily basis.
During her final year of college, she worked as a reporter for GoRhody.com. Kate covered every one of the 16 Division 1 sports programs at URI. She went to Brooklyn, New York, in 2019 to cover the URI basketball team’s involvement in the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
She is currently serving as a sports anchor and reporter at the ABC 11 Eyewitness News since she secured a position at the network in October 2022. Rogerson worked as a sports anchor and reporter at KEZI 9 News in Eugene, Oregon, for two years before coming to ABC11. She covered international track events at Hayward Field, the Portland Trail Blazers, the Oregon Ducks, and the Oregon State Beavers. In addition, she created and hosted Friday-night high school basketball and football programs.
Kate spent the Pac-12 football season traveling all over the West Coast. She even followed the historic trip to Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series by the Beavers. Rogerson worked as a production assistant at ESPN’s Bristol, Connecticut headquarters before moving to Oregon and while there, she produced programming for SportsCenter.
