DeJuan Hoggard Biography
DeJuan Hoggard is an American Emmy Award-winning Journalist working at ABC 11 News serving as a co-anchor and reporter since he joined the station in April 2016. Formerly, Hoggard worked at One America News as an anchor and reporter.
DeJuan Hoggard Career/Education
Hoggard graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Pan-African Studies. One of his college lecturers gave him the endearing nickname “Mr. Television”, an alias that the teacher continues to use today. DeJuan also graduated with a flawless GPA from Ashford University with an MBA in marketing.
DeJuan is presently performing his duties as a cp-anchor and reporter at ABC 11 Eyewitness News since he joined the station in April 2016. He reports for Eyewitness News during the week at 4 pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm and co-anchors the show’s weekend evenings.
Originally from San Diego, sometimes known as America’s Finest City, Hoggard began his media career as a reporter and host for the school’s television news program and as an intern at San Diego’s KUSI-TV as a sophomore. He performed “just about everything” for the station during his time there, as well as being involved as a production assistant, master control operator, sports producer, and on-air host for the PPR Plus web-streamed football program. His efforts aided KUSI in winning numerous Emmys for the Prep Pigskin Report.
Hoggard, who was eager for change, was recruited in 2013 to serve as an anchor and reporter for the debut of One America News. He was the anchor of One America News’s “Early Edition” while he worked at OAN. In addition, he reported on numerous breaking news items, national politics, and the San Bernardino shootings.
