Steve Daniels is an American Award-winning Journalist working at ABC 11 News, serving as a weeknight news anchor, since he joined the station in June 1999. Formerly, Daniels worked at “Dateline NBC” as a correspondent.

Daniels studied at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. He is currently performing his duties as a weeknight anchor for ABC 11 Eyewitness News, since he became part of the station in June 1999. He co-anchors ABC11 Eyewitness News Monday through Friday from 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm Steve also serves as the anchor for the Breaking News Center’s coverage of breaking news.
Daniels works as an investigative reporter for ABC11. The implementation of new state legislation prohibiting school bus drivers from using cell phones while operating a vehicle in December 2007 was one of his proudest moments. His “Dialing While Driving” investigation report directly led to legislative change. The undercover investigation revealed school bus drivers talking on their phones while transporting a group of kids.
Steve worked as a correspondent for “Dateline NBC” prior to joining WTVD. He covered stories for the national newsmagazine program while interviewing newsmakers around the nation and the globe. Additionally, Steve made appearances on MSNBC, CNBC, “NBC Nightly News,” and the “Today” show.
Before that, Steve worked as a Senior Investigative Reporter and anchor for WTVJ in Miami on weekdays between 5.00 and 5.30 pm. Daniels received seven Emmys and numerous other national accolades for his exceptional investigative reporting while he was in Miami. In addition, Steve was KCNC’s Denver weekend news anchor.
