She anchors Montana This Morning and has been part of the station since October 2022. Before joining KTVQ she served as a multimedia journalist KWTV News9 in Oklahoma City.

Education | Career
In 2013 Augusta joined Biola University where she studied Journalism, Biblical Studies, and Psychology graduating in 2015. She then joined the University of Montana graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. In January 2022 she joined the University of Oklahoma where she is pursuing her Master of Arts in Global Studies and is set to graduate in September 2025.
She grew up in Townsend, Montana, and is excited to be returning to her home state to anchor Montana This Morning and report for KTVQ. McDonnell joined KTVQ in October 2022 after serving as a Multimedia Journalist t at KWTV News9 in Oklahoma City. She has also served as a News Anchor Producer and Multimedia Journalist at KPAX-TV in Missoula, Montana.
McDonnell was a part of the team at KPAX news that was awarded an E.B. Craney award for breaking news coverage of the Roaring Lion Fire by the Montana Association of Broadcasters. Further, she was a member of the University of Montana School of Journalism’s ‘The Meth Effect’ project highlighting the impacts of methamphetamine in Montana that was awarded a Society of Professional Journalists award.
