Lee K Howard is an American Emmy Award-Winning Sports Anchor and an Reporter working as a Weekday Evening Sports Anchor and Reporter at WKYT in Lexington, Kentucky. He has been part of the nation since 2011 and anchors the station’s weekday 10 and 11 p.m. sportscasts. Before joining his current station he worked as a Sports Anchor and Reporter at KAMC and KLBK in Lubbock, Texas.

Howard attended and graduated from West Texas A&M University in December 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies. After graduating he took on his first job at KAMR Local 4 News Amarillo as a Sports Anchor and Reporter. He served the station for 3 years and 4 months and left the station in March 2009.
Howard currently serves as a Weekday 10 and 11 pm Sports Anchor and Reporter at WKYT in Lexington, Kentucky. He joined the station in October 2011 after working as a Sports Anchor and Reporter at KAMC and KLBK in Lubbock, Texas.
During his 20 years covering sports, Howard has had the opportunity to cover many sporting events, including the NCAA Tournament, NBA and NFL draft, Kentucky Derby, Bowl games, and John Calipari’s induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Some of Howard’s favorite moments have come from covering local high school and college sports and telling the stories of the talented athletes in central Kentucky. His good work over the years has not gone unrecognized and he has received numerous awards and recognitions including an Emmy Award and Edward R. Murrow Award. He has also been named best sportscaster and Best Sports feature in Kentucky.
