Bailey’s love for weather began at a very young age and he was always fascinated by the weather. His fascination grew for years and he carried this to adulthood and ended up choosing meteorology as a career. He began his career as a Weekend Weather anchor at WKYT-TV back in 1998.
After a while, he was promoted to Weekday Weathercasts at noon and 5:30. 6 years later he was moved to morning weathercasts. Further, he became the first co-host of The Fox Morning Edition. A while later he took a leave from WKYT to join WSZA in Huntington.
Chris spent nearly 4 years there before returning to WKYT as Chief Meteorologist. He also took on double duty as the chief meteorologist for FOX 56. When he’s not doing weather, chances are you will find him cheering on his favorite sports teams. He is a HUGE Kentucky Wildcats fan and bleeds blue.
