Paul graduated from Lindbergh High School with a high school diploma and then attended and graduated from Eastern Illinois University earning a degree in speech communication with a minor in pre-law. For 19 years he hosted an afternoon drive show on Y98 FM thats from 2001 to 2020. Further, he was the traffic anchor at CBS affiliate KMOV from 2005-2010 and hosted a Sunday evening show on KMOX from 2012-2014.

Cook currently serves as the traffic anchor for Today in St. Louis on 5 On Your Side in St. Louis, Missouri. A native of St. Louis, he is a media veteran in his hometown. Paul grew up in South County near Grant’s Farm and has spent most of the last several decades working in local radio.

Obsessed with saving time himself, he enjoys helping connect people with information and saving them time in the morning by assisting them to avoid long traffic. Paul says his most memorable moment to date has been working backstage at the Grammy Awards. Paul was able to attend a half dozen ceremonies and interview lots of celebrities, including Bryan Cranston, Evander Holyfield, and Kelly Clarkson.
