Amy Watson is an American Emmy Award Winning Anchor and Reporter working as a News Anchor at WTVF in Nashville Tennessee. She is honored to be part of the WTVF News Team and is happy to serve the Nashville folk. Before moving to Nashville, she worked in Chattanooga, Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Paducah, Ky.

Amy attended and graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and minors in political science and German. She currently serves as a News Anchor at WTVF in Nashville, Tennessee.

Watson is a seven-time Emmy Award Winning Anchor and Reporter who joined WTVF after working in Chattanooga, Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Paducah, Ky. Further, she has received numerous Emmy nominations and she even earned Associated Press Awards for news writing and special projects like First Place for Short Light Feature in 2018.

Additionally, The Best of Nashville honored her recently with Best TV Personality and Best Reporter of 2018. Amy earned top honors for Readers’ Choice, Toast of Music City “Best Local TV Anchor and Reporter in 2017.

Not only is Watson an award-winning anchor and reporter, she is also a published children’s book author. Her first book, “Hairdresser’s Baby,” was released in 2003. “Ellicott Moon” was published in 2021.
