Grant Roberts is an American forecaster serving at WSPA News Channel 7 as the weekend morning meteorologist. He joined the Station in September 2022 after working as a meteorologist for KSLA News 12.
Grant Roberts Career | Education
Roberts attended the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2011 and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorologist in 2016. In 2015, he worked at WKRN News 2 Nashville for four months as a meteorologist intern.
He began his career at UTM-TV where he worked from August 2015 to May 2016 as a Weather Forecaster managing weather graphics and presented the forecast on-air for a campus-wide TV station. After working for UTM-TV, he joined Publix Super Markets in Bellevue, Tennessee where he worked from June 2009 to December 2016 as a Produce Clerk.
In Bellevue, Tennessee, she had experience working in the bakery, deli, customer service, and grocery departments. He began working in the customer service department and worked to maintain cleanliness and ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, Roberts worked full-time in the produce department working toward maintaining customer satisfaction and filling the shelves.
In January 2017, he joined KPLC-TV in Lake Charles, Louisiana as a Meteorologist and worked until September 2019. There, he reported the tropics including Hurricane Harvey. Roberts then joined KSLA News 12 where he worked until September 2022 as a meteorologist. At KSLA News 12, he gained more experience in severe weather.
He now works as a meteorologist for WSPA-TV News Channel 7 in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, South Carolina Area. He forecasts at WSPA-TV News Channel 7 every Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. until 8 a.m. Roberts has always been captivated by the weather from a tender age. He loves thunderstorms and also enjoys a beautiful sunrise and sunset.
