Kendall Brandt Biography
Kendall Brandt is an American Award Winning Anchor and Reporter working as a Multimedia Journalist at WTXL ABC 27 in the Tallahassee Metropolitan Area. She has been part of the station since joining the station in January 2023. She is honored to be part of the ABC 27 News Team and serving the Tallahassee folk is a dream come true for her.
Education | Career
Brandt attended and graduated from the University of Florida with an Undergraduate Broadcast in Journalism Degree in December 2022. While in college she worked and interned at different stations across the state. She worked as a Seasonal Sales Associate at Lucky Brand from November 2019 to January 2021.
Brandt interned as a Production Intern at News 13 Orlando from June 2022 to August 2022. During her tenure there she worked with the production team, reporters, and anchors to build and format stories in Dalet. She also wrote and edited scripts for the noon and 5 pm broadcasts.
In January 2021 she joined WUFT News as a Multimedia Reporter. She was later promoted to Digital News Producer and finally Television News Reporter. After 2 years and 1 month, she left the station in January 2023. From August 2022 to January 2023 she interned at WCJB TV20 in Gainsville, Florida.
Kendall currently serves as a Multimedia Journalist at WTXL ABC 27 in the Tallahassee Metropolitan Area. She joined the station in January 2023 and has been working here ever since. In October 2023 she won a National Edward R. Murrow Award.
When off her duties, she enjoys listening to alternative rock music. You’ll often find her visiting local restaurants and shops. Kendall is happiest when playing guitar, spending time by the water, and getting to know new people.
