Rich Edson is an American Journalist working at FOX News serving as a Senior National Correspondent since he joined the station in 2015. Formerly, Edson worked at Fox Business Network as a Washington Correspondent.

Edson studied at Rutgers University from 1999 to 2003, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Journalism. He later enrolled at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and earned his Master of Science in Journalism in 2004.
Rich is currently performing his duties at FOX News Channel as a senior national correspondent. He began working as a Washington correspondent for FOX Business Network (FBN) in October 2007 and switched to FNC in 2015.
Edson most recently provided coverage for the 2022 Midterm Elections on FNC. Previously, he covered the continuing war between Russia and Ukraine live from the Pentagon. In the past, he gave FNC’s Democracy 2020 election coverage the most recent breaking news from Washington, DC. Recently, Rich participated in FNC’s live coverage of the US-North Korea meeting in Singapore and conducted an interview with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Cairo, Egypt, to explore US-Middle Eastern relations.
Additionally, he covered every significant election, the 2013 and 2011 US debt limit crises, and the executive bonus protections added to the 2009 stimulus bill throughout his time at FBN and FNC. He has also revealed information about congressional spending, the Bernie Madoff Ponzi fraud, and the US auto bailout.
Edson worked as a city and county government reporter for WJCL-TV, which is an affiliate of FOX 28 in Savannah, Georgia, prior to joining FBN. He worked for 2 News in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he handled general assignments and sports as well. He began his career in show business as an intern for Saturday Night Live on NBC.
