Finn Matt Patrick is an American award-winning broadcast journalist serving at Fox News as a national correspondent, he joined the Station in August 2013 after working as a reporter and anchor for KIMA TV.
Matt Finn Career | Education
Finn graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast journalism. In May 2008, he began his career at WBRE-TV, serving as a producer and fill-in Reporter for one year. In this role, he worked on content, consumer, and investigative production. Additionally, he collaborated with a team to create in-depth investigative news packages and assisted the consumer reporter in updating the website and addressing viewer concerns. Moreover, he served as a weekend reporter.
From September 2010 to December 2010, Matt interned as an NBC 10 anchor at NBCUniversal, Inc., working with Tracy Davidson. During these four months, he researched and wrote for newscasts, created articles for the website, and assisted with various newsroom responsibilities in the field and the studio. Furthermore, he joined The Temple News as a reporter in January 2010, where he researched, wrote, and edited full-length news stories for a year and five months. He also served as a church usher and community volunteer at Yakima Foursquare Church Inc. for one year and ten months.
Later, Finn transitioned to an intern in Public Relations at the Fox School of Business and Management. He researched and wrote stories for the Dean’s Newsletter and other publications, updated the website, conducted interviews, and edited content. Following this, from November 2011 to August 2013, he worked as a reporter and anchor at KIMA TV, a CBS affiliate serving central Washington, for about 2 years. He pitched stories, shot, wrote, investigated, reported, anchored, and edited content during this time.
In August 2013, Matt transitioned to the role of National Junior reporter at Fox News Channel, where he was based in Las Vegas for two years, covering the southwestern region of the United States for the network, including the website, channel, and Fox News affiliates. He also served as a multimedia journalist, pitching, shooting, writing, editing, and publishing my content. Since August 2015, he has continued his journey at Fox News Channel as a national correspondent, covering national news for the network.

Matt has garnered numerous awards, including two from the Society of Professional Journalists for investigative reporting. He recently received Chicago’s prestigious Lisagor Award for Best In-Depth Broadcast Series and was recognized by Kappa Tau Alpha with the Keith P. Sanders Award for excellence and leadership in the profession. Additionally, he had the honor of being selected as the annual guest Kirsch lecturer at Temple University’s Klein College of Communication.
