Martinez is an American broadcaster serving at FOX 5 as a morning news anchor, he joined the Station in July 2008 after working as a news anchor for WESH 2 NBC.

Martinez enrolled at the University of Miami in 1991 and graduated in 1992. He furthered her education at the University of Southern California where he earned his MA in journalism in 1995. Martinez is very happy to be in Southern California, he got into this business to do sports but within a very short time, he was drawn to the news side. Martinez began his career at KESQ 3 ABC in Palm Springs, California where he worked as a news anchor from June 1999 to December 2001.
He then joined WESH 2 the NBC affiliate in Orlando, Florida in January 2002 and worked as a news anchor until June 2008. During his time there, he played a big role in the award-winning news team that received the Columbia DuPont Award, and a Peabody Award. Further, he appeared on CNN, The Today Show and MSNBC. Also before working in Orlando, Martinez worked as an anchor at KESQ, the ABC affiliate in Palm Springs.
Martinez currently works as a news anchor at FOX 5 San Diego KSWB in San Diego, California, United States. He has a passion for mentoring young kids and he considers it an honor to represent the Hispanic community.
