Heather Haley Biography
Heather Haley is an American Meteorologist working for WVLT where she serves as the Chief Meteorologist and News Reporter. Heather joined the Station in May 2008 and in April 2019 she was promoted to the position of chief meteorologist. She was earlier working as a News Anchor and Reporter for WYMT TV. She is very proud to work in her hometown, where she grew up.

Haley attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2001 where she earned her Journalism and Electronic Media, Television and Radio Broadcasting in 2005 degree. She then joined Mississippi State University in 2010 where she completed another degree in Broadcast in Meteorology graduating in 2012.
Following her graduation from the University of Tennessee, Haley was lucky to get her job at WYMT TV. This is where she began her professional career and worked there from March 2006 to May 2008 as a News Anchor and Reporter. Later, she joined WVLT as a Meteorologist and News Reporter, she was so good at the role that, eventually, she was promoted to Chief meteorologist.
The East Tennessee is resourceful in her forecasting because it can be hard for others to comprehend the varying terrain. Seeing how the Plateau, Valley, and Smokies affect the weather is useful. Heather says that other meteorologists often refer to the Knoxville region as one of the hardest to forecast, but for her, she loves that and is regularly likely to be found at community events and local schools.
