Wagner Dave is an American award-winning journalist serving at WTSP-TV as a primary evening anchor and investigative reporter, he joined the Station in April 2022 after working as a primary evening anchor and senior investigative reporter for KIRO 7.

Immersing himself in a quest for journalistic excellence, Dave eagerly delved into the immersive realm of newsroom leadership and storytelling workshops offered by the esteemed Poynter Institute. Additionally, he engaged in a transformative journey of International and Global Studies, he embarked on the Semester At Sea and ISE program, an enriching international shipboard studies initiative that voyaged across Asia, Africa, and South America. This immersive experience became a cornerstone of his academic pursuits in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts-Communications program at Otterbein University.
Wagner commenced his career with WLWT-Hearst Television in October 1999. He served as the primary evening anchor, managing editor, and senior investigative reporter, anchoring all weekday evening newscasts. His reporting included live field anchoring and coverage of significant events like Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Transitioning to WCNC Charlotte from April 2008 to June 2015, he assumed the role of primary evening anchor, senior investigative reporter, and political moderator. He anchored nightly newscasts in the 22nd-largest television market. Furthermore, he contributed live field anchoring and reporting from significant events like the Haiti Earthquake, the Boston Marathon bombings, and the Vancouver Olympics.
Following this, Dave joined NBC News as an Olympic correspondent and correspondent for NBC News Channel in June 2012 specializing in live, quick-turn national reporting for NBC News, MSNBC, and network affiliates. He has served as the primary evening anchor and investigative reporter at KIRO 7 since November 2015, and in his current role at WTSP-TV since April 2022. He continues to uphold the highest standards of journalism and investigative reporting and informs the public with accuracy and diligence.
