Martinez Janelle is an American journalist working for WTSP-TV where she serves as a co-host of Great Day Live in St. Petersburg, Florida. Janelle joined the Station in September 2017 after working as a news anchor, traffic anchor, reporter, journalist, and writer for WFTS-TV.

Martinez graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Radio and Television. After completing her degree in telecommunications, she ventured into various markets across the southeast. Over her extensive 15+ year career, she has experienced nearly every role in television news. From anchoring evening newscasts in Sarasota, Winston-Salem, and Charlotte, NC, to assisting commuters as the morning traffic anchor in the Tampa Bay area. She has covered a range of stories, from major events to more localized ones, braved hurricanes, and even joined presidential campaigns. However, her greatest joy in television is sharing your stories, a passion she continues to pursue every day on Great Day Live.
In May 2015, Janelle joined WFTS-TV as a news anchor, traffic anchor, reporter, journalist, and writer. She served her role until September 2017 before joining WTSP-TV where she serves to date. She plays the role of a cohost of the show Great Day Live. Janelle is very excited by how far Tampa Bay has risen, from her childhood when she would attend the Academy of the Holy Names for high school and Incarnation Elementary School.
