Christyn Allen is an American Multimedia Journalist serving at WVLT as an anchor and traffic reporter. She joined the Station in October 2022 after working as a Multimedia Journalist for Lilly Broadcasting Erie, PA.
Christyn Allen’s Career | Education
Allen attended Oneida High School in 2013 where she earned a Diploma in 2017. She then enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Journalism in 2020. In 2019, she served as an intern at WATE 6 On Your Side in Knoxville, Tennessee Area for three months.
She also served as a Reporter Intern at WKRN News 2 in Nashville, Tennessee from January 2020 to March 2020· At the Middle Tennessee State University, she worked as a journalism tutor for one year and five months. Allen worked for the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity in Murfreesboro, Tennessee first Recording Secretary from July 2018 to December 2018.
Then she worked as Vice President II, New Member Coordinator from July 2018 to December 2018. After working in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, he joined Lilly Broadcasting Erie, PA in Erie, Pennsylvania, United States as a Multimedia Journalist where she worked for almost two years. She now works as an anchor and traffic reporter at WVLT News.
Allen loves her job because she gets to interact with people around the region and change her neighbors’ lives. When she’s not working, she likes jamming out to Dolly Parton, who is her favorite person, and hanging out with her cat, Archie.
