After graduating from high school, Saitta attended Fairfield University from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in communication and journalism. During her time at Fairfield, she actively participated in extracurricular activities, such as the Fairfield University Glee Club, Chamber Choir, and The Fairfield Mirror. Moreover, as a member of the University Choir, she performed in various countries. Saitta also spent a semester abroad in Italy, becoming fluent in the language. Subsequently, she pursued further education at New York University, where she obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in journalism from 2020 to September 2023.
Embarking on her professional journey, Danielle started as an assignment desk intern at WCVB-TV, then transitioned to an executive office intern at Governor Charles Baker’s Office, and later worked at NBC Sports.
After her graduation, it took some time for Saitta to find a job. She began working as a reporter at KTIV-TV, covering breaking news and producing and editing stories from June 2018 to May 2019. Additionally, she played a crucial role in the historic Midwest Flooding of 2019 and maintained a strong social media presence. Later, she worked as a nightside MMJ at WCBD News 2 from July 2019 to April 2020. During this tenure, she gained extensive experience in live and breaking news coverage, among others.
Following her tenure, Danielle transitioned to the role of reporter and fill-in anchor at WTVQ from December 2020 to September 2022.
