After earning her high school diploma, Penny pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and American Studies at American University. During her time there, she actively engaged in extracurricular activities and achieved Dean’s List status. Additionally, in 2018, she expanded her academic pursuits by studying anthropology, media studies, virtual reality, and Danish language and culture at DIS – Study Abroad.
