Patrick Rockey is an American journalist serving at WTKR-TV as a Chief Meteorologist. She joined the Station in Dec 2002 after working as a Meteorologist and reporter for WYFF-TV.

After graduating from Denbigh High School and Christopher Newport University with a degree in English and Journalism. Patrick notably served as editor of the school newspapers at both institutions. Later, he went on to earn a master’s degree in Communications and Radio TV from Murray State University in Kentucky in 1992-1993. Subsequently, he received his meteorology training from Mississippi State University, obtaining the seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society.
Patrick embarked on his career journey as a reporter at WPSD Local 6 from January 1993 to December 1994. Transitioning thereafter, he assumed the position of Meteorologist and reporter at WYFF-TV from December 1994 to December 2002.
After his previous experiences, Rockey found his current position as Chief Meteorologist at WTKR-TV in December 2002. He has remained in this role for about 21 months based in Norfolk, Virginia Area. Additionally, he delivers his forecasts weekdays from 4 to 6:30 pm and at 11 pm on WTKR, NewsChannel 3. Additionally, Patrick has been honored with two Southern Regional Emmy Awards, in addition to receiving numerous awards from the Associated Press.
