Charles Ewing Biography
Charles Ewing is an American Meteorologist and Reporter serving at FOX8 Max Weather Center. He joined the Station in 2000 after working at WGXA News Fox 24 as a meteorologist.

Charles’s journey as a meteorologist began with a high school diploma, propelled by his passion for weather. Subsequently, he pursued his interest further by earning a degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
After finishing his education, Ewing’s dedication and expertise were recognized when he received the American Meteorological Society’s Seal of Approval. Consequently, this recognition led to his first job at WGXA News Fox 24, Macon, Georgia. While in Macon, he encountered various weather challenges such as tropical storms and droughts. Nevertheless, he viewed each challenge as an opportunity to enhance his skills and deepen his understanding of meteorology. Despite the difficulties, he also persevered and continued to thrive in his profession, thereby laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors.
Currently, Charles is working for FOX8 in North Carolina as a meteorologist, delivering forecasts at Noon, 4 PM, and 7 PM., where he’s glad to be back after spending four years in Macon, Georgia. As a North Carolina native, being away from home for that long can stir up feelings of homesickness, however, now that he’s back, he feels a sense of comfort and familiarity settling in once again.
Additionally, outside of work, Ewing indulges in his passion for meteorology by chasing severe thunderstorms and tracking hurricanes. Moreover, he also holds onto the hope that one day, NC State will have a strong basketball team while continuing to cheer enthusiastically for the NC State football team.
