Beairshelle Edmé Biography
Beairshelle Edmé is an American 2x Emmy Award-winning Journalist working at FOX 59 News, serving as the Main Anchor since May 2022. She joined the station in March 2019 and served as an evening anchor prior to her promotion. Formerly, Photo of Edmé’ worked at WNCN as a Weekend Anchor.
Beairshelle Edmé Career/Education
Beairshelle studied at Loyola University Maryland where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications; specializing in Broadcast Journalism, with a minor in Political Science and Spanish. During her time there, she was the host and producer of The Minority Report, a member of the Loyola University Maryland Presidential Student Advisory Board, as well as vice president and director of Publicity of the Black Students Association. Additionally, she attended Universidad de Alcalá and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish.
Beairshelle is presently performing her duties at FOX 59 News where she has served as the Principal anchor since May 2022. At first, she worked as an evening anchor from May 2019 to May 2022 prior to her getting promoted to her current role.
She reports on a variety of topics, including politics, law, and education, in addition to her role as FOX59’s primary evening anchor at five, six, and ten p.m. The two-time Emmy winner is happy to tell meaningful stories and feels privileged to live in Indiana. In addition, she is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
Beairshelle received multiple honors for her reporting and anchoring skills while working as a weekend morning anchor for WNCN-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina, before joining FOX59. In addition, she has also held positions at KMEG-TV and KPTH-TV in the tri-state area of South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa, as well as WDTN-TV in Dayton, Ohio.
