Betker studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. She is currently playing her role as a meteorologist for KARE 11 News, which is an affiliate of NBC since she secured a position at the network in February of 2012.
She was the morning meteorologist at WLIO in Lima, Ohio, prior to this. Laura has also held positions with the American Heart Association and in radio. Although her profession is meteorology, she is an amateur gardener, cook, and sewer.
