Paz’s professional career began in August 2011 when she joined NBC News in the Great Los Angeles area as an Executive Producer. She served NBC News for 7 months and left the station in February 2012 joining KVAL-TV as a Reporter and Weather Anchor. KVAL-TV is a CBS affiliate station in the Eugene, Oregon area and Paz served here for 2 years and 2 months.

In April 2015, Paz landed a job as a Reporter for KPTV Fox 12 Oregon in the Portland, Oregon Area. During her tenure here, she reported on a variety of topics such as community-wide issues and protests, to national guests including political Bernie Sanders’ visit to the Moda Center. Paz left KPTV in November 2015 to join Oregon Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon as a Marketing and Communications Specialist.

In July 2017 Vanessa joined KGW the NBC affiliate station in Portland, Oregano as a Weather and Traffic Anchor. While here, she has the opportunity to cover everything from major crashes and closures to local weather systems spanning from the Cascades to the Coast. Paz now serves as a Weekday Morning Traffic Anchor, Reporter, and Meteorologist for ABC 10 News San Diego. She joined the station in January 2020. In her free time, she enjoys heated sculpting and yoga workouts.
