McRoberts enrolled at The University of Alabama in 2006 where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and film in 2010 and a minor in Spanish. That same period she interned at WVUA-TV Tuscaloosa, Alabama Area.
After working for WVUA, she worked for Fox 42 News in the Greater Omaha Area as a reporter for two years and five months. Here, she shoots standups and packages, videos and interviews, and edits and produces a Secret Hot Spots Segment as well as contributes to a station-wide investigative segment called Uncovered.
McRoberts worked for KPTM in Omaha, Nebraska as a multi-media journalist reporting; a record-breaking drought, the Iowa Caucus, presidential debates, and a record-breaking flood, while also retaining her feature segment, Secret Hot Spots. The Nebraska Broadcaster’s Association awarded her a silver award for Best Spot-News Coverage.
In 2013, she joined WPTV and worked as a reporter and multimedia journalist. Here, she shoots, writes, edits stories with live reports, posts stories to the web, and engages viewers via social media. She reported the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County.
