Corey Howard Biography
Corey Howard is an American Sports Journalist working Forecaster and News Reporter at KOAT 7 in Albunquerque, New Mexico. Before joining his current station in June 2024, he as a Sports Anchor at WSAV in Savannah, Georgia. He joined WSAV in January 2022.
Education | Career
Corey attended and graduated from Grambling State in 2015 with a Bahelor of Arts in Mass Communication. He then joined Louisiana State University 2015 graduating in 2017 with a Master’s in Mass Communication and Media Studies. As of 2024 he is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi and is always looking for new friends.
Howard currently serves as a News Reporter and Forecaster at KOAT 7 in Albunquerque, New Mexico. He joined the station in June 2024 after working as a Sports Anchor at WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia. At WSAV, he anchored the weekend Sports and filled in on the weekdays. He served the statiobn for 2 years and 5 months leaving the station in May 2024.
He also worked as a News and Sports Anchor for 2 years at KALB-TV the NBC affiliate in Alexandria, Louisisna. During his tennure there he joined the U.S. Army Reserves and specialized in military coverage.
While in Louisiana, Corey was honored with multiple statewide awards for breaking news reporting, community service and outstanding sports coverage. One of HIS biggest hobbies is boxing and giving back. During his free time, Howard likes to teach children how to box. He believes the principles and discipline they learn from the ring can take them far in life.
