Steve Infanti is an American news anchor serving at WSYR News Channel 9 as the sports director, he joined the Station in January of 1999 after working as a sports reporter and anchor for WIVT. Infanti has worked for NewsChannel 9 in Syracuse, NY for over twenty years.

Infanti joined Ithaca College in 1994 after completing his high school education. He graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. Infanti began working for WIVT in Binghamton as a sports reporter and anchor. He works for WSYR NewsChannel 9 in Syracuse, NY) as a Sports Director, leading reports of Syracuse University Athletics, the award-winning Friday Night Fever, and everything in between.
When he first joined the News Channel 9 Syracuse, NY)team, he worked as a weekend anchor for five years before being elevated to his current position in October 2003. Infanti was News Channel 9 Athlete of the Week who assisted in leading Bishop Ludden to a state basketball championship in 1994. During the SU football and basketball seasons, he provides an in-depth look at what’s going on with Orange Week as the host of Orange Nation.
Infanti’s role developed in September 2020 at News Channel 9 and is now the co-host of “Bridge Street.” He co-hosts the show every Monday to Friday from 10-11. Moreover, you can always hear him on the radio hosting various shows for the local ESPN radio affiliate.
