Karl Rove is an American News Personality working at FOX News serving as a Political Contributor since he joined the station in 2008. Formerly, Rove worked at the George W. Bush Administration as the Deputy Chief of Staff.

Rove attended Olympus High School, where he became really good at debating. A teacher encouraged him to run for class senate, and he ended up winning the election. Before his speech, he rode in a convertible with two pretty girls to get attention. At school, he was elected student council president for two years in a row. He was also part of the Teenage Republican group and was even the leader of the Utah Federation of Teenage Republicans.
In the fall of 1969, Rove started studying political science at the University of Utah with the help of a $1,000 scholarship. He also became a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Through the university’s Hinckley Institute of Politics, he landed an internship with the Utah Republican Party. This internship, along with connections he made during the 1968 Bennett campaign, led to a job opportunity in 1970 on Ralph Tyler Smith’s Senate re-election campaign in Illinois, although the campaign was ultimately unsuccessful against Democrat Adlai E. Stevenson III.
After the semester ended in June 1971, Rove left the University of Utah to accept a paid job as the executive director of the College Republican National Committee. He was mentored by Joe Abate, who was the National Chairman of the College Republicans at the time. Rove then enrolled at the University of Maryland in College Park in the fall of 1971, but he dropped out during the first half of the semester. In July 1999, he explained to The Washington Post that he didn’t finish his degree because he was only missing one math class, which he could potentially complete by exam, and he hadn’t fulfilled his foreign language requirement.

In December 2019, he predicted a contested convention for the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries, a prediction that Politico later deemed incorrect after Joe Biden secured the nomination. He served as an advisor to Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign and criticized former President Obama’s response to the coronavirus pandemic in May 2020.

Following controversial comments by Todd Akin regarding rape, Rove made a joke about murdering the Missouri Senate candidate, which he later apologized for. Rove’s organization, Crossroads GPS, had pulled its TV ads from Missouri after Akin’s remarks. On November 6, 2012, Rove disputed Fox News’ call of the 2012 presidential election for Obama, leading to a memorable exchange with host Megyn Kelly. In 2013, Rove and American Crossroads created the Conservative Victory Project to support electable conservative candidates, drawing criticism from some within the Tea Party movement.
Rove authored the book “The Triumph of William McKinley: Why the Election of 1896 Still Matters” in 2015. His nonprofit organization, One Nation, raised nearly $17 million in 2017, according to IRS filings released in November 2018. Rove involved himself in lobbying for Rivada Networks, a communications technology company. In the fall semester of 2021, Rove worked as a guest professor at the University of Texas at Austin, teaching a course on Modern American Political Campaigns for UT’s Plan II Honors Department. However, his presence sparked protests from students who accused him of being a war criminal.
