Jason Chaffetz is an American News Personality working at FOX News serving as a Contributor and Host since he joined the station in 2017. Formerly, Chaffetz was the former chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and a distinguished fellow of the Government Accountability Institute.

Chaffetz went to high school in California and also attended Middle Park High School in Granby, Colorado. Later, he got a sports scholarship to Brigham Young University, where he played as the starting placekicker for the football team in 1988 and 1989. During these two seasons, he made 16 out of 25 field goal attempts (64 percent) and 89 out of 94 point-after attempts (95 percent).

His father started to interact with the Los Angeles Aztecs’ ownership group in the late 1970s when the team played professional soccer.
His father later wrote a book titled “Gay Reality: The Team Guido Story,” which is about a gay couple that competed on The Amazing Race. Alex, his younger brother, is the owner of a media consulting business in Colorado. Chaffetz’s dad was Jewish. His granddad, Max Chaffetz, was an FBI agent whose parents came from Russia.
Max had a brother named Hammond E. Chaffetz, who started some important laws about business competition, and his work was approved by the U.S. Supreme Court. Later, Hammond made Kirkland & Ellis into a really strong law company in the U.S. Max lived from 1909 to 1986 and was also related to Morris Cafritz, who was into real estate and giving back to the community.
