Eric Johnson Biography
Eric Johnson is an American journalist serving at KOMO-TV as a news anchor. He joined the Station in 1993, after working as an anchor for KBCI and KTVB.

Johnson attended East Valley High School, where he obtained his high school diploma. Later, he transitioned to Washington State University, during his time there, he focused on broadcasting as his major. Additionally, he also engaged in baseball at WSU, although he acknowledges that his achievements in the sport were rather limited.
After completing his studies, Eric embarked on his career at KBCI and KTVB in Boise. He later joined KREM in Spokane, where he worked as an anchor. Furthermore, he transitioned to KGW in Portland, Oregon. Eric later transitioned to KOMO News in 1993, where he still works to date. He initially began serving as a weekend sportscaster at the station. Currently, he serves as an anchor on the same station during the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts. Moreover, he also produces his weekly award-winning stories. He also created “Eric’s Heroes.”
In addition, Johnson has garnered over 50 regional Emmy Awards and six National Edward R. Murrow Awards. Additionally, he has also produced numerous award-winning documentaries, among them the groundbreaking “Seattle is Dying,” which has amassed over 20 million views.
