He began his television career in Columbus, Georgia, in 1988 when he debuted as a professional wrestler, he chose a trade that would last on and off for 15 years. For a 15-year-old kid, it was a rough go at first as the bigger guys would usually leave Miller black and blue, but he kept at it and finally found his niche.
During his travels as a grappler, which took him as far as Australia, Robson did countless radio and television interviews. Sometimes, he felt that was the best part of the job, so much so that he often thought he’d like to try his hand at being a radio deejay once his time as a wrestler ended.
Unfortunately, a serious hip injury cut short Tobson’s wrestling days and, as luck would have it, an opportunity to do radio at a country music station presented itself. He jumped at the chance. His first job was to play countdown shows on CDs during weekends. From there, he worked his way up to be the host of a number one morning show.
Fourteen years later, Miller transitioned to television, where he eventually landed a job as a morning news co-anchor and weather forecaster at WLTZ NBC 38 in Columbus, Georgia. Miller instantly fell in love with the weather and knew that’s what he wanted to devote the rest of his career to. After earning his certification from Mississippi State University, he was promoted to chief meteorologist.
