Edward Moody is an American Emmy Award Winning Anchor and Reporter working as a Weeknight co-anchor at WBTW in Florence, South Carolina. He joined the station in June 2024 and currently anchors the 5 pm and 11 pm newscasts. Before joining his current station he worked as a Weekend Evening news anchor at WSAV in Savannah, Georgia.
Education | Career
Moody attended and graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies. Edward began his professional career as an Anchor and Reporter at KBJR-TV in Duluth, Minnesota. He joined the station in December 2002 and left the station in December 2007.
He currently serves as a Weekday Evening anchor at WBTW in Florence, South Carolina. Moody joined the station in June 2024 and co-anchors News 12 at 5 pm and 6 pm on weeknights. In his 2 decades in television news, Moody has done everything from moderating a congressional debate to water skiing atop a human pyramid.
After beginning his professional career at KBJR, Moody moved to 13WHAM-TV in Rochester where he worked as a Reporter and Anchor. He joined the station in December 2007 and after 3 years and 1 month, he left the station in December 2010.
Moody’s next stop was Indianapolis, Indiana where he joined WXIN-TV Fox 59 as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter. He joined the station in December 2010 and after a year and 8 months, he left the station in July 2012. He also worked as a Weekend Anchor and Morning Feature Reporter at WCCO-TV in the Greater Minneapolis Area.
Before joining his current station he worked as an Evening Anchor and Reporter at WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia. He joined the station in November 2019 and initially served the station as a Weekend Evening Anchor and Reporter. Moody was promoted to weekday 4 pm news anchor in April 2022. He left the station in July 2024. His work has earned Edward two regional Emmys and a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Award.
