Ben Senger is an American Anchor and Reporter working as a Weekday Evening Anchor at WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia. He co-anchors the weekday evening news at 5, 5:30, 6, 10 and 11 pm. He joined the station in July 2015 after working as an Anchor and Reporter at KPTV Fox 12 in Portland, Oregon.
Education | Career
Senger attended and graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a business major and a journalism minor. He currently serves as a weekday evening News Anchor at WSAV in Savannah, Georgia. He anchors the stations weekday news at 5, 5:30, 6, 10, and 11 pm. Senger joined WSAV in July 2015 and has worked there ever since.
Before joining his current station he served as a Reporter and anchor at KPTV Fox 12 in Portland, Oregon. He joined the station in September 2010 and after 4 years and 11 months, he left the station in July 2015.
He began his professional career at WBIR-TV in August 2004. After serving the station for 4 years and 2 months he left the station in September 2008. He then joined Hearst Television in September 2008 and for the next eight years, he worked as an anchor and reporter in Nashville Knoxville, Tenn., and Winston-Salem, N.C. Nearly five years as an anchor and reporter in the highly competitive news environment of Portland, Oregon.
Besides his professional career, he is passionate about educational issues and is devoted to helping the community. He is also grateful to live in an area with such a rich military tradition. He embedded with the 101st Airborne in Kuwait leading up to the Iraq war and considers it the most rewarding assignment of his career.
