Ben Katko Biography
Ben Katko is an American Award-Winning Anchor and Reporter working as a Morning News Anchor at WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia. He has been part of the station since May 2017 and is honored to serve the Savannah folk. Before joining his current station he worked as a Reporter at Fox 19 WXIX-TV in Cincinnati, KY for 4 years and 2 months.

Katko attended and graduated from West Virginia University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast News. In college, he interned at KDKA-TV as a Sports and Special Programming Intern. He also interned at Mountaineer Sports Network. Further, he worked as an Anchor at WVU News in Morgantown, WV from August 2009 to December 2009.
Katko currently serves as a Morning News Anchor at WSAV in Savannah, Georgia. He joined the station in May 2017 after working as a Reporter at WXIX-TV in Cincinnati, KY. During his tenure at WXIX-TV, he was nominated for an Emmy for his coverage of breaking news.
He is honored to be part of the WSAV Morning News Team and to serve the Savannah people. Since joining WSAV he has been recognized with a regional Edward R. Murrow award. Besides work, Ben is a huge sports fan and considers himself a news junkie. Further, he is a competitive powerlifter and a deacon at his local church in his spare time.
