Sarah Willson Biography
Sarah Willson is an American Award-Winning Anchor and Reporter working as a Multimedia Journalist at WHTM ABC 27 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She joined the station in September 2022 after working as a Political Reporter and Anchor at WETN-TV (NBC) in Elmira, New York. Sarah served WETN-TV for a year and 5 months, joining the station in May 2021 and leaving in September 2022.

Willson attended and graduated from Central Connecticut State University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science. She then joined the University of Illinois Springfield in August 2023 and is set to graduate in May 2025 with a Master’s Degree in Political Science and Government.
Willson currently serves as a Multimedia Journalist at WHTM ABC27 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She joined the station in September 2022 and has been working there ever since. Before joining her current station she worked as a Political Reporter and Anchor at WETM-TV in Elimra, New York. She joined the station in May 2021 and left in September 2022 after a year and 5 months of service.
During her tenure at WETM-TV, she covered the allegations against former Gov. Andrew Cuomo that ultimately led to his resignation, and reported extensively on the Hochul Administration along with the 2022 race for governor. Notably, her coverage on the “Steuben County child killer” won her an award from the New York State Broadcasters Association.
Further, Sarah worked as an Associate Producer for NBC Connecticut and interned at Al Arabiya in Washington, D.C. where she attended White House and State Department press briefings and assisted in coverage of international affairs. She is honored to be part of the WHTM news team and is happy to serve the Pennsylvania folk.
