James Crummel is an American Emmy Award-Winning Anchor and Reporter working as a Co-anchor of the 4:30-7 am Newscasts at ABC27 (WHTM) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is also the main anchor of the Noon Newscats at the station. Curmmel joined the station in September 2005 as a reporter before his promotion that came in later on.

Crummel attended and graduated from Susquehanna Township High School and then attended Penn State University at State College where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science. He currently serves as a co-anchor at ABC27 News Daybreak weekdays from 4:30-7 a.m. and is the anchor of ABC27 News at Noon.
Over the years of his professional career, James has covered various topics at ABC27. One of his favorite assignments was during the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. During his “Operation Sandy Relief” reports, James traveled to the Jersey Shore to witness the devastation and speak with those affected.
Further, he headed a huge collection drive along with Mission Central in Mechanicsburg to give the victims much-needed clothing and other supplies. When off his duties, James volunteers with the American Literacy Corporation or he’s catching a ride on a coaster at Hersheypark. James is honored to be part of the WHTM news team as this is a station he grew up watching.
