Connor Clement is an American journalist serving at WMTW as a weekend anchor and reporter. He joined the Station in February 2023 after working as an On-Air Personality at Atlantic Coast Radio.
Connor Clement Career | Education
Clement enrolled at the University of Southern Maine in 2013 and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in communication and Media Studies in 2017. He then joined WCSH 6 in the Portland, Maine Area in September 2015 as a Broadcast Journalist Intern. Clement worked here until December 2015 operating as an MMJ (multi-media journalist) at sporting events such as Patriots practices/games, Bruins games, High School games, and events.
In September 2016, he worked for (NRHI)Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement as a Media Content Intern and also Handled company social media posting. Worked on all audio and video archives, refining and editing for future use. At the University of Southern Maine, he first worked as a Communications and Media Studies Student from September 2013 to May 2017. He then became a Play by Play / PA Announcer where he worked from September 2015 to May 2017.
Clement then became an On-Air Host at WMPG 90.9FM in the Portland, Maine Area from September 2016 to June 2017. Here, he Hosted a weekly Sports Show covering a wide range of topics, Conducted interviews with local sports personalities, and Conducted interviews with local sports personalities. After working as an On-Air Host, he joined Westbrook School Dept in Westbrook, Maine as a Public Address Announcer where he worked for four months in 2017.
In March 2016, he worked as a Public Relations Assistant at the Maine Red Claws from March 2016 to January 2018. Clement then became a Freelance Photographer at High School Sports for one year and two months. He then became a creator and Blogger at The Maine Corner in September 2016 Blogging about New England sport’s most exciting news and happenings.
His next stop was at ESPN in the Greater Boston Area where he worked as a Sideline Reporter/Play-By-Play Announcer from December 2018 to September 2020. Then, working as a Contributor/Host at Dirty Water Media from January 2019 to September 2020. Furthermore, he joined WMCT-TV in June 2019 as a Sports Reporter Weekend.
Clement moved to Boston, Massachusetts to work at Northeastern University as a Sideline Reporter. He left in September 2021 and joined WABI TV 5 in Bangor, Maine, United States where he worked as a News and Sports Reporter/Anchor. For the second time, he became an On-Air Host & Producer at Maine Life Media in Maine, United States.
After working for WABI TV 5, he again became a Sideline Reporter/Play-By-Play Announcer at Harvard University where he worked from December 2018 to February 2023. He then became an On-Air Personality at Atlantic Coast Radio in Portland, Maine, United States. Currently, he’s a Full-time news anchor at WMTW-TV.
