Matt Lincoln Biography
Matt Lincoln is an American anchor and Reporter working as a Morning News Anchor at CBS12 in South Florida. He has been part of the station since March 2013. Matt initially served as a Sports Director before being promoted to his current role as News Anchor in August 2018. Before joining his current station he worked as a Sports Director at Sinclair Broadcast Group.
Education | Career
Lincoln attended and graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Communications and Broadcast Journalism in 2008. While in college he had the opportunity to work and intern at different stations across the state. He worked as a Radio Host at WERW FM for a year and 5 months.
Matt also worked as a Sports Director at WSAR FM from May 2002 to August 2002. While there he produced and voiced six daily sportscasts during the morning drive show. For 3 years and 3 months, he worked as an Assistant Sports Director and Personnel Director at WAER FM.
He currently serves as a Morning News Anchor at CBS12 in South Florida. He initially served the station as Sports Director after joining the station in March 2013. Matt was promoted to his current role as a Morning News Anchor in August 2018. He is honored to be part of the CBS12 News team and is happy to serve the West Palm Beach folk.
As the Sports Director at CBS12, he spearheaded the Athlete of the Week segments, launched the station’s only web-exclusive show After Hours, and gave viewers his point of view on his What’s Lincoln Thinkin’ blog.
Before joining his current station he worked as a Sports Director at Sinclair Broadcast Group. He joined the station in 2013 and after 2 years of service, he left the station in 2015. Matt has also worked as a Sports Anchor at WWBT NBC12 for 2 years and 6 months.
Besides his professional career, he is active in the community and believes in giving back to the community. Matt is the Chairman of the Annual Clinics Can Help Golf Classic and has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club and Best Buddies in Palm Beach County.
