Olivia Parsons Biography
Olivia Parsons is an American anchor serving at WSPA as a Morning News Anchor. She joined the Station in July 2022 after working as a nightside reporter for 7NEWS in January of 2021 based out of the Greenville area.
Olivia Parsons’s Career | Education
Parsons enrolled at The University of Central Florida in 2014 and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism in 2018. She then became a reporter intern at Fox 35 Orlando, WOFL-TV in Lake Mary, Florida where she served for three months in 2017.
In 2018, she joined WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando, Florida, and worked as an Associate Producer for ten months. There she reported major events including city scandals, hurricanes, local elections, and breaking news situations. She chose to work on TV by telling stories that reflect her community.
The following year, she became a Weekend Morning Anchor at WCBD-TV Count On News 2 in Charleston, South Carolina, where she worked from January 2019 to January 2021. Parsons then joined WSPA 7 in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, South Carolina Area and worked as a full-time Traffic Anchor from January 2021 to July 2022.
She currently works for WSPA as a full-time Morning News Anchor and anchors on weekdays from 4:30 – 9 AM. She couldn’t be happier than working for the station. Parsons is hard-working and a good storyteller and whatever she wants she gets.
When she’s not working, she likes to read NPR(National Public Radio and its trademarked brand), scroll through Twitter, sit by the pool, and run around Main Street. Apart from that, Parsons enjoys a good murder mystery documentary on Netflix or watching football, at Trader Joe’s e.t.c.
