Rick Reichmuth Career | Education
Reichmuth received a Spanish literature degree from Arizona State University. He made the decision to leave banking after almost ten years in order to follow his lifelong passion for meteorology. He is currently performing his duties at FOX News serving as a Chief Meteorologist since 2006.
Rick was promoted to Chief Meteorologist and weekend weather personality for Fox and Friends, taking charge of all-weather coverage both on and off the field. Prior to that, he worked as a freelance weather anchor for WFXT-FOX 25 in Boston, primarily anchoring weekend newscasts. Reichmuth also held roles as a weather anchor for CNN, CNN Headline News, and CNN International in Atlanta, Georgia, where he collaborated closely with executive producers to ensure accurate weather forecasts were effectively distributed. Reichmuth’s career kicked off as a production coordinator for CNN en Espanol in Atlanta, Georgia.
Rick created a brand of umbrellas named “Weatherman,” which was introduced on November 16, 2017. Despite years of experience covering severe weather events, Rick struggled to find an umbrella that met his high standards. After three years of rigorous research, sketching, and extensive testing, he developed an umbrella capable of withstanding extreme weather conditions.
