Jonathan Serrie is an American Journalist working at FOX News serving as a Correspondent since he joined the station in 1999. Formerly, Serrie worked at WSB-TV as a General Assignment Reporter.

Serrie earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and English from Emory University. He later began his journalism career in Mrs. Ball’s fourth-grade class at Booker Elementary School in Sarasota. There, he started a classroom newspaper that was printed on mimeograph paper. He is currently performing his duties at the FOX News Network, serving as a correspondent since he became part of the network in 1999.
Most recently, Serrie has covered the federal prosecution of former President Trump, Georgia’s increasing significance as an electoral battleground, as well as the deportation of Joran van der Sloot, the main suspect in Natalee Holloway’s unexplained disappearance. Notably, he was among the first U.S. reporters to reach Aruba when Holloway went missing in 2005.
Before that, he extensively reported on the COVID-19 pandemic, including the surge of the omicron variant in 2022. He gave real-time updates on Gabby Petito’s disappearance in 2021. Prior to this, Serrie reported on breaking election news from Georgia during the FNC’s Democracy 2020 election coverage. Throughout his time at the network, Serrie has covered major international and national news stories, political elections, and severe weather events like hurricanes and tornadoes across the United States.
Before joining FNC, Serrie worked for WSB-TV (ABC) in Atlanta, where he received two Southern Regional Emmy awards. During his time at WSB, he reported on the 1994 Susan Smith child murders and the search for the 1996 Olympic Park bomber Eric Rudolph. From 1989 to 1994, he served as a general assignment reporter, morning anchor, and regional bureau chief for WYFF-TV (NBC) in Greenville, South Carolina. He started off as a reporter and photographer for Sarasota, Florida’s WWSB-TV, which is an affiliate of ABC, covering Manatee and Bradenton County.
