Nicole Parker FBI Career

On September 11, 2001, Nicole was working at Merrill Lynch on the top floor of the World Financial Center in New York City. She witnessed firsthand the devastating terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Alongside her colleagues, they evacuated our building, guided to safety by the courageous efforts of NYPD officers. That day, 2,977 lives were tragically lost, which made her deeply shocked and heartbroken. She made a promise to God that she would dedicate herself to serving this great nation.

This commitment led her to leave a high-paying job at a multibillion-dollar hedge fund in 2009 and apply to join the FBI as a special agent. According to the Wall Street Journal, approximately 45,000 individuals applied for special agent positions that fiscal year. Only about 900 were accepted, and Parker was fortunate to be among them.

Following five months of rigorous training at the Academy in Quantico, Nicole became a sworn-in special agent, assigned to the Miami Division. She viewed this as a sacred duty and felt privileged to be entrusted with the responsibility of protecting and serving the American people. Throughout her career, Parker focused on fieldwork, believing it was where she could have the greatest impact in rescuing victims and apprehending criminals.

Undoubtedly, the work took a toll on her both physically and emotionally. However, she found solace in knowing that she was making a meaningful contribution. Every morning, Parker eagerly embraced the role of an FBI special agent, but then things began to change. During her more than 12 years of service, Nicole witnessed a shift in the trajectory of the FBI. While the bureau’s mission stayed consistent on paper, its focus and guiding principles underwent significant transformations. The FBI became politicized, with this influence originating from the highest levels in Washington and permeating down to the field offices.
